Now, as I see it......

Museum Day

This evening we went to a lecture by Neil McGregor, the outgoing Director of the British Museum. He has transformed the museum in the time he has been there and his talk about the future, particularly given the situation in Iraq and Syria and with the destruction of Nimrud and possibly Palmyra, was very interesting.

Earlier, we went to see photography exhibitions by Alec Soth, an American photographer, and Julia Margaret Cameron, a pioneer of photography from the 1800's, at the Science Museum. The picture is of two of Alec Soth's pictures; unusually, he encourages people to take pictures and share his work.

Now on the train home so I'll check this for typos when I get back!
