The Lunch

In all it's 90 years, this may have been the first lunchtime meeting of our village WI. But this is just a try out during the winter months.
We had a good attendance and everyone sat down at a long table. We served the soup and there were, as you can see, three to choose from! (I tried two of them - delicious!)
There is nothing quite like a bowl of good home-made soup and a fresh home-made roll and butter for lunch! Everyone seemed to enjoy it, and afterwards we had a demonstration of cake decorating, particularly those delicate flowers made of icing - roses, lillies, leaves -
Skill and patience required here, but with a little of both amazing results can be achieved.
An interesting and enjoyable afternoon!
