Farewell to Peebles

Today we left Peebles for home. It is a lovely little town with nice hotels, plenty of walks and of course good friends.

Out before breakfast and remembering that it is the eleventh day of the eleventh month I thought it was appropriate to pay my respects to the town's war memorial. Our old friend placed a poppy wreath there last Sunday.

We plan to be back next year.
