Old Firehouse Doors for Engine Co. No. 2

We were in Wilmington, NC today for lunch with my sister when I saw this old firehouse - see extra for larger view.  This house opened in 1915 and closed in 1956.  The station housed 6 men, 2 horses and 1 two horse hose wagon.  The building is Italianate style, and  there was a bell in the tower that sounded alarms until the last horse was retired in 1918.  Most of this info is from www.legeros.com, a fire house history site.  The station now houses offices.
