Bowes museum

I noticed that Bowes Museum wasn't too far from our hotel, so suggested we go there - I had an idea that the YSL exhibition was on. Mr C was about as enamoured by that idea as I was with visiting the train cemetery in Bolivia, but he acquiesced. We missed the exhibition by a few days as it finished at the weekend, but he shelled out £17 anyway. There was a huge amount to see, but some of the paintings were so far up the walls that it was hard to see.

Then we came home via Eldon Square where I did some Christmas shopping. Mr C had disappeared off to do his own thing, unable to hear his phone ringing with my call for assistance in carrying all the shopping, him having left it at home as usual. We got to Whitley Bay to pick the boys up early from nursery. They are a delight, even when tired from a busy day. We had to a bit of time in the park. It was dark and raining by the time we got them home. Poor James had a horrid wheezy chest but he was not down-hearted and gave us lots of jolly smiles.
