Thursday 28 June 2012: Prom pomp

After all the weeks in the planning (by Isobel and her chums - B and I were just bystanders) Prom night is finally here.
They all looked lovely and will have a great time I'm sure. But I don't understand it all. Is it another US import? When I left school we all just locked the gates together with our ties and ran down the street shouting.
