Ravenscraig Castle

There were a few brighter intervals today but no really direct sunlight so the castle wasn't looking at its best.  In an attempt to put some life into it, I photographed the brightest spot of sky that I could see and used that as an overlay. This is the result.

I have edited this post to explain to comma and others more precicely what I did to create this image.

I have added an 'extra' with four components:
a) the sky - straight out of camera (SOOC) - cropped area outlined.
b) the sky cropped, enhanced and enlarged.
c) the castle - straight out of camera
d) the castle enhanced

The overlay was combined in 'multiply' mode
