Waterfoot Sunrise

Like Father Like Son

They have been forecasting a really wet Thursday in these parts for a few days now, but it never really came to much, although it remained overcast and misty all day.

In the afternoon we went down to Campbeltown for the shopping and the weather was totally different. First there was thunder and lighting with the power being knocked out for a few seconds, then the skies cleared and it was warm and sunny. However, as soon as we headed home we were back in the clouds and an increasing wind. Its quite amazing how our weather can vary so much over a relatively short distance.

All this talk about weather is probably just my excuse for yet another bird blip. However, it was either that or another flower macro as everything else was grey and murky.

This is one of several Great Tit chicks that have been around the feeders over the last week or so. It may have been his father I blipped last week in the same position, hence the title, although I have no idea what sex they are!

I was quite surprised (and just a wee bit chuffed!) to see my Wet'n Wild blip from a couple of weeks ago in The Herald today. Maybe they were waiting for some similar weather before using it!
