Mr and Mrs

This was the point of the trip: to witness the wedding at the Graceland Chapel in Las Vegas, and, yes, Elvis was there in a baby-blue satin jumpsuit but we were not allowed to take photographs inside. Presumably the really cool pix of the couple and The King will be made available by the house photographer.

It was a sweet goofy event, and I didn't start to cry until the minister read this blessing:

Now you will feel no rain
For each of you will be shelter to the other.
Now each of you will feel no cold
For each of you will be warmth to the other.
Now there is no loneliness for you
For each of you will be companion to the other.
Now you are two persons
But there is one life before you.
Go now to your dwelling place to enter into the days of your togetherness
