Fair Flowergirl Megan

Megan stands with her very proud parents under her rainbow arch, for The Bo'ness Fair.

She was so beautiful and her arch was made by her Dad and his mates( and no doubt a few beers). She leaves primary school a lovely girl ready for the challenges the next school brings. She is well up for that challenge.
You were a lovely Flowergirl Megan.

The day started drizzley, then showered and wet the kids as they entered the Glebe park. The rain stopped as their Queen was crowned, but immediately afterwards the heavens opened and the entertainment moved inside the town hall.

The 3 mile long procession went ahead and the crowds waited in the rain to see them all walk in their rain ponchos. he kids wait all year for "Their special day" and to them and most Bo'nessians, it is "The best day of the year". The community spirit has to be experienced to be believed.

The Fair is said to be the biggest in Europe. With the new Queen Nicole crowned as the 104th queen, it certainly stands the test of time.

Have a look through the photos of previous years to see just how big it really is.

A lot of very tired, wet, but happy children and towns folk experienced yet another wonderful Fair day.
