Corncrakes & Golden Eagles

After a couple of damp days we headed out today to spend our last full day in the Uists trying to see the local specialities that had so far eluded us. A lot of time was spent at Balranald listening to Corncrakes and eventually both Mrs L and I each got a fleeting view, but neither of us were quick enough to get the camera on it. So I'm afraid for today's photo you'll have to make do with a Golden Eagle.

Heading back to Perth tomorrow so hopefully get time to catch up on blipping soon.
