Saturday 30 June 2012: Olympic Torch
This is Tracy Round carrying the Olympic Torch on the final leg of its relay through Tamworth. Despite a very wet start to the day the sun came out and I really enjoyed the experience. The people of Tamworth lined the streets and the atmosphere was very festive. Rob had a great vantage point from the VIP area of the Castle Grounds and enjoyed playing a small part in the proceedings.
No time to stop and enjoy the celebrations though as Rob had a football match in Leicester....the team lost 3-1 but Rob scoring was some consolation!
Lucy has a party later so I expect my taxiing services will be called upon......no wine for me then :(
