Saturday 30 June 2012: Central Market, Abu Dhabi
The Central Market project began around 6 years ago by Foster & Partners.
The Project consists of a complex of three skyscrapers (one super-tall), that are currently under construction and were scheduled to be completed in 2010 with a total project completion date of 2014, including the Emporium, the Souk, the four star Marriot Courtyard Hotel, and five star Marriot Renaissance hotel. As normal here project timescales are over optimistic, and only the souk was opened last year.
This was our first visit, it is a nice enough place, but has no atmosphere (and not many units open).
