Gillian Purvis Trust

Five minutes to midnight - just made it.

Strange how Blip encourages you to photograph scenes like this and then research them.

I had never heard of the Gillian Purvis Trust before.  Tragically she died at the age of 33 in a Glasgow fire. The family set up a foundation in her name to support creative arts.
The Trust has  awarded grants to help students in the creative arts in Glasgow in their third, final or postgraduate years. In recognising Gillian's interest in textile design and fashion, the initial focus of the Trust was the Department of Textiles at Glasgow School of Art (GSA) where two Awards are made annually. Further awards have been added.

The words are from a poem -  Wild Geese by  Mary Oliver.(p.s the words are part of the memorial, I haven't added them).
