Greeks bearing gifts

I discovered 2000 Hong Kong Dollars in one of my drawers today. Thinking I am suddenly rich, I go down to Bayswater where you can do the cheapest currency exchanges in London. Disappointingly, this seemingly large sum only translated into about 150 quid.

Bayswater is also known for London's only Greek Orthodox Cathedral St Sophia's is one of those most beautiful religious buildings I have ever been in.

The boy in national dress didn't speak a word of English, but stood handing out leaflets to passers by. There are a lot of Persian and Chinese restaurants in the area, but surprisingly few Greek. Maybe that will change as their economy flounders.
