The artist's window

Bright and blustery, the men headed up for the stone circle this morning - himself had asked son number 1 to do an aerial panorama of the circle. A very clever device consisting of a long broom, duct tape and the precious camera was constructed and of they went. The results are still being edited.

We then went to Ballydehob in search of card material, and had a mooch and blip around - 3 cameras going hell for leather. This was my favourite - a little tin shed with pretty lace curtains and interesting oddments in the window - worth biggifying - an artist's studio by the look of it. Ballydehob is really only one long street but I reckon it has 20 pubs, most tiny, some posh eateries, a garage and that's it. It must have been quite a bustling place in its heyday as there are interesting little nooks and crannies, and the railway came here in the 19C - now long since closed. It's famous for its 12 arched railway bridge which is nice, but I preferred the little window. It was a hippy centre in the 60s and 70s and the odd rainbow jerseyed sandal wearer can still be spotted (quickly checking what I'm wearing - sandals yes, rainbow jersey no but - oops - tie dye T shirt!)
