Padraig The Pigeon

Meet Padraig the Irish Racing Pigeon who turned up in my garden this afternoon.

I managed to get his ring number using a combination of photographs, and by tracing the number I found out he of Irish decent! I even manage to locate his home town. According to the lost racing pigeon website I am not allowed to report it as a stray until his is my possession ... i.e. I've caught it!

I kept an eye on it today, and it was feeding up on the seeds on the ground feeder, so hopefully it will carry on it's way tomorrow, if not I am going to have to give my friend Wayne a call, who is a pigeon racer, and see what we can do for him, and hopefully get him back home.
