Sunday 1 July 2012: South Beach
We are having a real run of heavy frosts....-4 & -5 deg the last couple of nights, the sun has shone but in the shade the frost is not melting. It is going to be another snorter tonight.
Doug & I went for a walk around the wetlands and along South Beach this afternoon. The seas are still very high.
There were hundred and hundred of gulls following the waves. I guess there must be something amongst the waves for them to eat. I chose this one just because it is the almost perfect roll. I had lots of waves crashing against the beach and an old wrecked jetty which were quite impressive but went for this one.
Also, the poor swans, ducks were struggling, the creek and little lagoon was still covered in ice at mid afternoon and there wouldn't be any chance of it thawing.
Back to work tomorrow.....day 21 and counting down :)
