Skeleton car

Brrr, spent this morning on the roof of a car park doing a car twin test photoshoot for a magazine. We were lashed by the tail of storm Clodagh, and the biting cold and high winds were not much fun.

Then this afternoon I turned up the car heater and headed to Hurley in Buckinghamshire for a driving day tomorrow. The venue is a historic inn, The Olde Bell, that first opened its doors in 1135 AD. It was an important staging point on the route from London to Oxford until 1890. In more recent times, notable guests at the inn over the years have included Sir Winston Churchill, Richard Burton, Elizabeth Taylor, Cary Grant, Errol Flynn and Dustin Hoffman.

We are here with Jaguar Land Rover, and this interesting skeleton car, made of aluminium wire, pays homage to the company's next new model due for launch next year. It's the Evoque Convertible. Hopefully the actual car, when it arrives, will be a little less draughty!
