The Face Is Familiar

You're searching your brain,
your internal computer,
for an inkling, a trace,
a hint of who this person is
who you've just said hello to
as if they're your long lost best friend

but you can see from their face
that they're staring back
at the face of a stranger
and thinking who is this weirdo,
this over familiar passer-by
who thinks they know me just because I'm...

It's him!
He's crap.
I always turn him off.

...on the telly.
