Digging up the pavements

I went to Craigwell Cottage this morning to find that the pavements were all dug up, but that the work had progressed to the point where tar to fill it in again was awaited.  Phew.  Last guests (for us) due to arrive on the 12th, and I wanted to make sure that everything was good for their arrival.  Sometimes making other people's holidays special can be rather stressful.
