El Niño

A busy day today, an early start with eggs and chocolate and then off to Bakewell. I bought a pudding in the first shop we saw. It was ok, not as nice as a tart (wetter with crumblier pastry). I bought a pudding in the next shop we saw, this was less sweet, less almond, less jam and less pleasant than the first. The Mrs tried it, made a face and declared "It tastes like onion". Pudding fail!

The village was nice, if a little rainy. We saw some nice Well Dressings which were unique and went to the local church were I took this photo. For lunch we introduced the family to fish and chips. They were pretty good and certainly they enjoyed them.

Then it was off to Eyam to learn all about the effects of the plague there. A lovely village with a grim history. We bought some rhubarb.

It was then back to Nottingham for tea and cake and goodbyes to Jimena and then on to Cambridge for the Euro Final where Spain played fantastically.

A mega weekend, gracias a dios :-D
