Monday 2 July 2012: Halleluja For Beginners
Many years ago when my daughter was in primary school I decided to join a newly founded gospel choir in our town and - lacking a babysitter - I took her along.
Since she could read very well but didn't know any English yet, I "translated" the songs for her. (big translation)
Worked perfect! But I can still see the choir leaders face when he saw my translation! :))
I found all the sheets with my translations yesterday and have an earworm of "Halleluja" since (feel free to participate!).
We are not singing in the gospel choir anymore - I only sing when no one hears me (I like singing, but I'm a very poor singer), but she is taking singing lessons and her English is pretty good!
