Monday 2 July 2012: Jardiniere
I had a dental appointment in the city after work and then cycled home.......! Some years ago pal Helen and I cycled the back roads of Egypt for a week and survived huge potholes, punctures, manic overtaking and undertaking, kids trying to unseat us, Pharaoh's curse, flying sugar canes, snakes (in the cane fields where we had gone for a wee!), toilets with no door and open windows (and most of the local kids hanging through them!), nappy rash and mile upon mile of desert. On the plus side I would go back there in an instant because the people are wonderful and the country beautiful and it was the experience of a lifetime. I will not, however, be cycling home from the dentist's again.... nuff said.
This is Tony's Jardiniere which has survived high winds and torrential downpours.
