Waiting for a fish

I've lived in Ireland for 19 years and I'm not one to moan about the weather but it's been such a grey, gloomy and very wet start to July! So I was feeling uninspired to say the least walking down to the harbour after a long day catching up at work. All was quiet, not a bird to be seen, then a little fishing boat appeared and so did two seals in it's wake! Then the gulls arrived and of course the local herons, so it was all go, the fisherman was holding fish over the boat for the seals, who were rising out of the water for them, the herons were sneaking fish out of the fish boxes, it was a very entertaining hour. Unfortunately my shots of the seals being fed were out of focus but I liked this one with both seal and heron.
Went on to a lovely evening of shared food and music, even managed a bit of dancing to some lovely french folk tunes played on the acordian and some singing, very late night, hence back blipping, ah well we know how to make the most of a wet evening!!
