Shades of Subiaco

This mural is a piece of public art work commissioned by owners of the building.

Opposite the building there is now a car park where once historic rose gardens were present.

Children from the local school were asked to paint an "arty brella" with images of roses and images of the council gardener that tended the roses for so long.

This 3.1 m x 1.5m mural features some 24 children holding 31 Rose themed arty brellas.

The mural has been widely accepted by the school and the community and has led to a new interest in Street art by the council and the community.

Further information on this interesting project can be obtained from the web site.
