Olympic Torch 2012 in Stranraer

At 6.04am the Olympic Torch starts it's long journey across Scotland from Charlotte Street in Stranraer carried by 6 feet 5 inches soldier Ross McClelland from Ayr.

Olympic Torch Relay 2012

The Olympic Torch arrived on the 7th June 2012 at Cairnryan in readiness for first footing in Scotland and the start of the relay from Castle Square, Stranraer at the crack of dawn on the 8th June 2012. Prior to the torch starting its Scottish journey a large entourage of sponsor's vehicles, police out riders and support vehicles passed down Charlotte Street followed then by Soldier Ross McClelland who was the first person to run with the torch on Scottish soil.
