Tuesday 3 July 2012: Bassenthwaite
It was sunny about 5 mins after this shot, but only for about 2 hours.
My husband spent a lot of time fishing from a boat on Bassenthwaite when he was a child. His Dad used to take him and his brother and none of them could swim! (My parents couldn't swim either). Luckily they all survived to tell the tale.
