Tuesday 3 July 2012: Home
We spent most of the day travelling home from our lovely wee break in Carradale. It was so lovely to spend time with Mr & Mrs B as we all really enjoy sharing time with family.
We set off about half 10 and meandered slowly home catching the ferry from Tarbert at 12.15pm. We drove on to Tighnabruach and had a lovely lazy lunch in the Royal Hotel. I had a burger that was sooo good, service and decor were also really good so may well be worth another visit some time. We stretched our legs on the shore before squeezing ourselves back in the car for one last leg of driving to get the ferry from Dunoon that would take us home to Gourock.
I have posted this view as you can only get this full view of our house from the water, but you do get a side view driving into Gourock on Cloch Road. I love the way it stands out from all the trees and instantly makes you feel like you're home.
We didn't waste any time when we got in and quickly unpacked the car and even got a couple of loads of laundry done, so that we can all now relax doing our own thing.
We have really enjoyed our last few days together and I feel so lucky that my 12 & 13 year old kids are such good company to be with and seem to still enjoy hanging out with us oldies too. Long may it continue.
