Wednesday 4 July 2012: First Wattle
Wow. 365 photos in 365 days. Gonna be interesting. Shouldn't be all that difficult as long as one is not TOO picky about the photos.
On my daily walkabout through Crawley Woods (an area of Urban Bushland next to where I live) I found this Wattle which is the first one I have noticed flowering this winter. Its a lovely indication that Spring getting close.
It is a wonderful time to take photographs with all the water laying around - after two years of crazy rainfall, which was also after, more or less, 10 years of drought. There are lots of little ponds adding a really nice additional compositional element to the landscape.
