Wild Foxglove . Digitalis Purpurea

I have a few of these in the garden which I have not
planted, they are quite tall and very pretty but very
toxic, in fact the whole plant including the roots and
the seeds. Sometimes called " Dead Mans Bells" not
Balls :-))
If taken the symtoms include -nausia vomiting
diarrhoea, wild halucinations and delirium.
There have been instances of folk confusing digitalis
with the harmless Comfrey plant ( which is often
brewed in tea) with fatal consequenses. The plant is
also toxic to all classes of livestock including cats and
dogs...
So Im sticking to Tetleys :-)))
Happy Independence Day to our American folk.

Still dullish and misty up here, but it seems to be
brightening up, and it's not cold, it's been a mild winter
summer so far :-))))))
Large Have a lovely day everyone.
