Olympic Torch Relay

Our village is only small and goes in a U shape off the main road - we were very lucky this morning to have the Olympic Torch Relay running right around our village -and right past our front door.

It was a great atmosphere, plenty of people out, the village pub doing breakfast while you watch, and someone even had a barberque out and cooking.

My grandchildren came to watch from our house, however Olivers main object of interest was not the torch but the police cars and bikes, he took lots of pictures with his own little camera. Isabella sat in her pushchair and watched all the noise and movement quite fascinated.

Two of the policemen on bikes stopped and talked to Oliver and he had his picture taken with them.

It was a moment in history that we won't see again - my husband took a picture from the other side of the road to make sure the grandchildren and the torch were both in the picture.

So I just had to blip it didn't I ?
