Saturday 30 June 2012: A new day, a new tooth!

Actually, the new tooth is no longer new -- it popped through on the first day of our Northumberland trip but I've waited to reveal this fact because I wanted to make a slight fuss about it. My little baby is now on the road to no longer being a baby. First it's teeth, then they're walking, and the next thing you know they're driving, graduating high school and moving out. This is where it all starts. But...it's just the first tooth, and he still has another 19 to grow.

It was so wonderful to see A -- I missed him so much. And he's in such a good way after some R&R with Granny and Granddad. The four of us went on an odyssey for a cup of coffee (well, the sleeping kids got dragged along -- clearly they weren't jonesing for some caffeine). We finally landed in St Andrews Square. It rained, it was sunny, it rained while the sun was shining, the wind blew, it was warm, it was cold -- another unfortunately typical Scottish summer day in what's apparently been the 'wettest June on record'. Blech - I've had enough. But we made the best of it, or tried to, and ran around a lot with A.

I don't love this photo and had fully intended on reshooting it after the boys were asleep, but when I sat down at my computer after putting A to bed I quickly realised that my Hotmail account had been hacked! Nightmare. And then they blocked me out and I couldn't get back in. Four hours and much aggravation later, I finally got back in. But it was 11:55pm when I finished with all that nonsense, so this photo will have to do!
