Wednesday 4 July 2012: Parade

Durango didn't have any fireworks for the 4th of July this year but they had a parade with lots of cars, bikes and horses to celebrate the nation's birthday! Most of our family is in the crowd across the street from where I am- our 3 grandkids are the ones NOT watching the parade :-). We had a super barbecue at T and MAs tonight and I thought I might use his computer to post a picture from my camera but it got too late ...but I wanted red white and blue in the photo and a pix of the main street. Had some poppers to pop - just as it rained!!!!! we also enjoyed a catch up with nephew G and his girlfriend who just arrived from Oregon. They managed a holiday round of golf with son#2 and wife A while we went to the pool and hung out.
I think it's going to cool off a bit now and maybe they will get more rain- as we leave tomorrow. Thank you T and MA for making this such a fun family week! You are the best. (seen here in red shirt, light jacket and blue shirt, red hat and white pants!)
