Thursday 5 July 2012: Dune. Powlett River, High Tide
This is a wonderful time of year to be taking photographs. Still close to the winter solstice and even at the solar noon, the sun is relatively low. This enables one, with the appropriate facing, to take advantage of some wonderful qualities of light.
I had headed out just after lunch for a quick landscape shot for my blip today and ended up visiting two locations over 3 hours. I consider myself very fortunate to be living on a stunning part of the state's coastline.
This shot was taken on a stormy mid-afternoon with a large swell running that was generating significant localised mist.
Ohhh, food for the soul.
