The Day The Sun Came Out

It rained as well - before we get too excited.

Today was a fabulous day. A bit of an inauspicious start - I had in my head exactly what I wanted to achieve today and the exact time frame in which I was going to achieve it, but then I got a text message from Mr F at 8am telling me he was on his way to France via Surrey without his and the boys' passports. So I had to drive to his house 15 miles away and get the little red books posted for delivery tomorrow morning.

Still, maybe that was what I needed, because the remaining 500 words of TMA5 were written in an hour, I had coffee and a chat with Hans discussing neo-Platonism and more importantly the difference between rigging something up and bodging it... and Betty and I got out for a refreshing walk in the late afternoon sunshine.

Next on the agenda is 1500 words on Transmission of Medical Knowledge: Was there really a 'European Medicine' which was distinct from 'Islamic medicine' practised in medieval Europe? Right up my street... If I crack on I can get that and the next TMA done before the boys get back which will mean I'm not having to try and study/write while they are on their hols. It will be nice to be able to spend some time with them.
