Thursday 5 July 2012: Rhapsody in Blue

I'm no jazz fan but a Gershwin title is different. It's New York humid and I'm in a NY state o' mind. Actually, I'm in a summer holiday state o' mind. So I had a couple o' meetings today: nothing fancy; just discussing who does what when I'm off. Who looks after the boss and his stuff. Who emails me with emergency stuff - for that read, who emails me with news that we've not done something in April and it's been discovered in July. You know the drill.

And I hear of others leaving on holiday too - it's like end of term. Alas no end of term pantomime. Or prize giving. Oh, we should so have office prize giving. Best performance in a role powered by cappuccino? Best dramatic response to a tight deadline? Best email typo of the year? (Favourite so far: I will not be chaking my emails.)

So here's the sky with the elusive sun. This turned out a bit Turneresque. If only my watercolours turned out like this!
