Day 7: NYC New Years Day

We spent out last full day and night touring the city. Our first stop was to cruise from Battery Park past Ellis Island to see the Statue of Liberty. A cold front was moving in, so the temp had dropped to high 30s with 15-20mph winds out of the south. Needless to say that it felt terrible to this islander. We then headed back toward the Rockefeller Center to secure tickets to go to the Top of the Rock at night. After we got our tickets, we walked back to our hotel at Times Square to rest and plan for dinner. We used the Open Table app to reserve dinner at Buca di Beppo. Once we finished, we walked back to the Rockefeller Complex and walked around the Christmas Tree and Ice Rink. We then went to the Top of the Rock and took pictures over looking the city before heading back to the hotel on foot. Once back, we enjoyed drinks and dessert at The View, the revolving bar that overlooks the City atop the Marriott Marquis Times Square.
