Day 8 - Gibralter

Today we went on the Gibralter tour. We were collected from outside the hotel and 9.30, with a few pick ups on the way we finally arrived in Gibralter around 11.30.

We left our coach only to get on a smaller one for the tour. ~It didn't start well....the coach driver told us to take the buggy onto the coach (he couldn't be bothered putting it in his boot!!), he then told us to remove it from a seat as someone needed to sit there, I said to him "where do we put the buggy?" and his retort was "should have left it behind!!". I was furious with Tommy the coach driver! He did then put it in the boot!

After this we got on our way on the tour, firstly we went to the lighthouse where this shot was taken. At the bottom right hand corner you can just see Tangier. We were then on the steep incline to see the Gibralter Monkeys!! Katie and Jessica screamed and were absolutely terrified of the cheeky monkeys!! One of them entered our bus and sat on the steering wheel of our cheeky coach driver and refused to move....that's what he gets for his performance over our buggy!!

We then went to the WWII tunnels. This was really good and interesting but it was freezing and we were dressed for the sun!! Finally we were dropped in the town for a little walkabout and shopping. It reminded me of King Street in Jersey but on a bigger scale.

We got back to the hotel at around 6.30pm this evening so it was a long day!
