Monday 25 June 2012: Old Timepiece
Backblipped for 25th
Took the ferry across to Varenna, walked round the square and up and down steep streets. The best part was watching the swifts circling above us - we see fewer at home these days - and swallows and martins.
Wall sundials are not uncommon but this was particularly elegant and (correct).
Back to the car we followed the shore round the north end, discovering why it does not appear in the tourist brochures.
