Zulu

While we were in Avoch we noticed the Skiff Zulu heading back to shore. Must have been a great day for a row, flat calm, no wind and an incoming tide. Might have been abit cold as we had a hard frost this morning that remained most of the day.
Avoch community rowing club built and race Zulu and won a number of races last year. She was named after ' the class of powerful herring drifters that once were a common sight fishing out of Avoch harbour'.
Another skiff that will be called Zephyr is almost ready for action and with a skiff in Fortrose and another on in the making it's great to see them out on the water.
A regatta took place in November with 8 clubs racing not far from the shore so hopefully this will be repeated again this year :)
