Reflooding of the Nor Loch

In the 1820s Edinburgh's Nor Loch was drained to create Princes Street Gardens. Overnight on 6th July 2012 it was all flooded again!

I pity the forlorn statue and sunken benches, but wonder at how green everything is. When the sun eventually comes out again the gardens will look even more beautiful.
