I'm in love....

Well, still an early start but not as early as we originally planned due to the 25+ bottles of alcohol drank last night! (Breakfast was very quiet!!) With our lack of sleep and headaches we all collapsed in the car to hit the road to Venice! We were soon startled by driving through a huge storm! Sheets of rain, hail stones the size of fists hitting the windscreen, lightning and thunder surrounding us. We have both never seen anything like it and held hands in the back seat like little frightened 5 year old girls! Thankfully, the storm cleared as we successfully made our way to Venice. After lots of goodbye hugs to Gordo and Bill and promising not to cry? we were left to start the next part of the adventure. - Venezia!!

So we must say after 5 minutes... WE FELL IN LOVE WITH VENICE!!! Winding streets, little bridges, rustic buildings, gondolas, and beautiful Venetian masks showcased everywhere - what's not to love?! After doing the usual tourists spots of St Mark's Square, Basicilla and Palazzo Ducale, we spent the day getting lost in the little alley-ways of this beautiful city. To end the day we got a water taxi up the Grand Canale. Again, more stunning buildings and architecture. We were very happy little bunnies and Melody is so head over heels she has promised to buy her and Dwyer an apartment in Venice when she is rich...we picked out at least 3 on our way round...

We went back to our hostel and dressed up for our last night in Italy. More Italian yummies - Seafood Gnocchi , grilled aubergine, seafood spaghetti, fish and more red wine (of course!), and Gelato. We then continued to the Bra Bar. Quite literally the ceiling and walls of this bar were covered in hanging bras. Melody thought about donating hers for a free t-shirt but, well, don't think there would be enough wall space to hold her bra! :P After more red wine served by our very own Mr Andrew Eck look-a-likey we strolled back to our hostel.

All in all, a flying but wonderful visit of Venice. More travelling to be done tomorrow. Goodbye Italia, it has been a pleasure.

Loads of loving,
