Sagra delle foccacine

So today, there actually was the sagra of the focaccina (plural: -e) :)
After spending the afternoon in Lucca with a new colleague/friend, we went with another Italian friend of ours to the Sagra. We ate way too much, and then went to town for a wine festival. A long, busy, great day!

The above photo is of how they make the focaccine. They heat these stone pans above the fire. Then they turn the wheel, get the hot stone molds inside, put some dough in it, put them on a stack, and it bakes by itself without more heat.
