Friday 6 July 2012: The Flamingo Kid
If I'd managed to take a better photo of Miss A and her project this would've been titled "The Flamingo and the Kangaroo". Met up with Kaysha and her little lovelies Miss A and Little D for a bit of arts and crafts fun at a place in Marchmont.
My A's favorite show is called "Andy's Wild Adventures" which focuses on a different animal each episode, and the one he likes the best features flamingos, so it only makes sense that he'd pick one to paint. The kids had a lot of fun painting and glittering and I was amused watching Kaysha run after Little D, who is amazing on his feet.
We followed up the painting session with lunch at Butterflies and, again, the kids had a ball. Which, of course, meant it was nearly impossible to leave Butterflies. Kaysha and I have a long-running joke about which side of town is better, so it was nice to be able to show her a why my side is :)
It was a fun day and we've vowed to meet up again in a few weeks for more laughter and tears.
