West 34th Street, NYC

Blipped from a taxi (see the rear view mirror in the lower left) that we took to our car parked near our apartment (we'd welcomed a French family that is spending a week in it, and then went down to spend two nights with our old friend Daralee on 12th Street in Greenwich Village). We then drove back to Northampton.

Heading north, the taxi stopped on 8th Avenue at 34th Street; the view is toward the northeast. I especially like the enormous Coors Light mural in the upper left (who would imagine a beer from Colorado with such a presence in New York City). And don't miss the water tanks along the roofs to the right. It's good viewed large.

In the morning at Daralee's apartment we had watched Serena Williams win the Wimbledon singles title--congratulations to her for overcoming her afflictions of the past two years (including a pulmonary embolism)!
