My Great Success Story

Wednesday 3 August 2011: Pehrentian

Our train arrived in Kuala Besut (I think?) in the morning. We grabbed a taxi that took us to the place where you can catch a boat to the marina reserve and the Pehrentian islands.

I didn't really know what to expect from the islands as we changed our plans last minute, realising that Langkawi was currently in their rainy season.

The next three days turned out to be one of the highlights of the whole holiday, with the island of Kecil being the closest thing to a brochured tropical paradise I've ever witnessed. There are no big hotels or resorts, just beach huts and various larger restaurent / beach bar buildings.
