From T'uther side O't Watter.

This is the southern approach to the Humber Bridge from "Yellow Belly" land, formerly marked on our maps (before the bridge was built) with
"Here be Dragons!"
We had a proper paddle steamer ferry back then if anyone fancied going there that was.....  Across to New Holland from Corporation Pier in Hull, and then by train to Cleethorpes and Skeggy (Skegness)
I can still see the Fish and Chips papers blowing along the sea front and having sticky fingers from eating rock. (worth a ration coupon)
As kids we thought we were going abroad....
A rare treat.
