Bus Challenge No 78!!

“Tower Tours offer the chance to go behind the scenes and look at the Abbey from a very different perspective… On your way up, you will get to visit the ringing chamber and bell chamber, stand on top of the Abbey’s fan vaulted ceiling, and even sit behind the clock face. Once up on the roof you will have the best vantage point in Bath to enjoy spectacular views of our beautiful city and see right into the countryside.” Bath Abbey

Despite a wet start to the day, the afternoon turned out to be the perfect weather (though rather windy!!) for joining the tourists in Bath and taking a Tower Tour of Bath Abbey. There are 212 steps to the top of the Tower, but luckily there were opportunities to rest in between! The climb was well worth it though, for wonderful views over the rooftops of Bath and for a sneaky peek down into the world famous Roman Baths (extra photos), and for the chance to have a look at the workings behind the Abbey’s clock face (main photo).

Total bus journey times = 45 mins

FODMAP Day 2 Note to self: Add chilli flakes (instead of onions and garlic) to eggs when making omelette to take away the eggy taste!
