Always the risk of a banana skin.

I was a bit off the pace today at the East Lothian Cross Country, although my actual pace was probably better than recent races on the John Muir Way. After my sudden bout of near-death boy flu this week I should perhaps have rested up before the terror of the Carnethy 5 next weekend. Too many runners caught me in the final miles that I should have finished ahead of and too many of them were wearing brown vests. And when did a 4.9 mile advertised race turn into 6.2? I had only programmed my legs for 4.9.
